We strictly adhere to these hours. Pick-up or drop-off outside these regular hours must be prearranged and will incur a charge.
Adobe Pet Resort is operated like a human hotel. Boarding charges begin on the day of drop-off regardless of time. Check-out time is 11:00am. If you pick-up your pet prior to 11:00am, you will not be charged for that day. Pets picked up after 11:00am will be charged for the day of pick-up.
Pets will be weighed at check-in and will be checked for ticks and fleas. We reserve the right to treat for external parasites and/or bathe our guests at the owner’s expense if we deem it necessary.
We recommend that all dogs be bathed during their stay so that they go home clean. All dogs boarded four nights or more will be required to be bathed once during their stay at the owner’s expense. Dogs boarded longer than 10 days will require additional baths.
We require a credit card number at check-in with the balance due at check-out. First-time clients are required to pay in full in advance or at check-in and show a valid driver’s license.
We are glad to be able to accommodate guests that need medications. All medication must be provided by the owner in its original container with the prescribing veterinarian’s label indicating the name of the guest, name of the medication, dosage and frequency. Oral meds and injectable meds are given at a daily charge.
We offer high quality food selections for our dog and cat guests. All other guests must bring their own food. We also accept outside food for a dog or cat needing a prescription diet or one with a sensitive stomach. Meals must be packaged in individual plastic baggies for each feeding labeled with pet’s name, meal date and a.m. or p.m.
We have plenty of blankets, towels and toys for our guest’s comfort, but you are welcome to bring your own bedding or toys. Please understand that while your pet may never soil or destroy his things at home, sometimes in a boarding situation he/she may feel the need to ruin or “mark” their things. If you choose to bring items from home, they must be labeled with permanent ink. The resort staff of Adobe Veterinary Center does its absolute best in safe guarding our guest’s belongings but cannot guarantee or replace them from loss or destruction.
All pets in an indoor/outdoor run will be closed in at night before the staff leaves.
Boarding can be a stressful experience for some animals and pre-existing problems may become worsened with stress. While your pet is with us, our resort staff will observe the appetite, water intake, stools & urine output and attitude of our guests. Any changes or concerns are reported to a veterinarian.
