Dr. Shelly Martin is also a native of Tucson. As a third year veterinary student, she spent seven weeks traveling throughout Australia, working on a variety of native wildlife species before graduating from Kansas State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.

After graduation, Dr. Martin returned to Tucson and joined the Adobe Veterinary Center team as a small animal veterinarian. In 2008, Dr. Martin volunteered in spay and neuter clinics in Mexico with VIDAS and performed spays and neuters for the Humane Society of Tucson when they were faced with an extreme overflow of rescued animals.

Her special medical interests include surgery, animal behavior, and feline medicine. She and her husband, Jeremy, (her high school sweetheart) celebrated a new member to the family, son Myles. His four-legged "siblings" include 4 cats and a dog.
