Dr. Susan Birrell Stofft DVM

Dr. Susan Stofft, originally from Denver. Colorado, completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University with a degree in microbiology and a minor in molecular genetics.  She stayed on at C.S.U., and graduated from the veterinary school in 1996.  She briefly used her undergraduate degree working in Kenya on a project, mapping the genetic markers in cattle.  Realizing that her heart lay in clinical medicine, she returned and completed an internship at Texas A&M University in small animal medicine and surgery.  Her interests include ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, prophylactic dentistry and pain management.

In 1997 Dr. Jim Stofft, her classmate and now husband, encouraged her to move out to beautiful Tucson, Arizona.  She spent the next nine years practicing in Green Valley.   In 2006, Dr. Susan Stofft joined the staff at Adobe Veterinary Center, opening the small animal side of the practice and serves as senior small animal adviser.  In 2009, Dr. Jim Stofft joined Dr. Susan Stofft as part of the small animal team at  Adobe Veterinary Center.

They have two beautiful girls who take up all their free time camping, hiking, cycling and traveling.  Jim coaches the girls' soccer teams and Susan leads her daughter's Girl Scout troop.
